Lek and Sowat were invited by Yan Bernard to participate in Artaq festival 2013. In collaboration with Roti Lek and Sowat came to Angers to do a site specific installation as they are known for. The installation was to be placed alongside a local footbridge and Roti was also to paint a 100M wall built by the city specifically for the artist. Working in heavy rains and flooding the team had to move indoors to a beautiful abandoned 11th century chapel were they artists worked on the installation. Lek and Sowat’s portion was completed and installed, here you can see the preview images courtesy of Sowat. We will follow up with the completed mural and project when it is completed.
