French artist Tanc has been in New York preparing for his first solo exhibition in the states. Known for his colorful abstracts involving gestural and focused mark making Tanc brings his work to New York. Here is a set of studio shots of Tanc preparing some of the work for the exhibition titled “Oscillations” being held at Catherine Ahnell Gallery. As you can see Tanc has taken on a more subdued palette in his new work focusing more on black and white fields of spray. The cursive based works are interesting and we cant wait to see where he takes all these works in progress.
