I was able to get some installation photos of an amazing exhibition that will open tomorrow in the San Jose at The Cannery Gallery. The exhibition will feature work from the Pre-Vinylite Society and Friends along the theme of “Icy Caps”. Sign painting has a long tradition and has emerged recently as artists have started to network and share their craft. This renaissance of the artform is showcased in this group exhibition with paintings from artists not only locally but around the world. The Pre-vinylite society has formed to help bring together these talented artists with each and share their tradition. The Cannery was able to make this exhibition happen and if I were you and live in the Bay Area I would make sure to attend.
