Silent Auction of Original Artworks to raise funds for the post production of MIRROR LANDS, a film and multi channel sound installation.

A collaboration between Visual & Sound Artist Mark Lyken, Filmmaker Emma Dove and Aberdeen University’s School of Biological Sciences.

The project is supported by Creative Scotland as part of the Imagining Natural Scotland initiative.

“Mirror Lands is a film and multi-channel sound installation exploring diverse relationships to place around the Cromarty Firth in the Highlands of Scotland.

The work challenges preconceived ideas of Highland life and highlights the complexities of interaction between nature and culture.”

4 months of shooting in the Highlands of Scotland has now wrapped and we are back in the studio in Glasgow editing and scoring the film and putting the installation together.

Monies raised from the auction will allow us to fund essential post production work on the film such as colour grading , mastering of the audio and score and then submissions to film festival world wide.

It’s a great opportunity to own some of these work at a fraction of their value and at the same time support the project.

The installation will debut at the CCA in Glasgow in partnership with Cryptic Glasgow on March 6th 2014, moving onto IMAG in Inverness and then tour to selected galleries country wide.
The accompanying DVD and CD soundtrack will be the first release on Lyken and Dove’s own newly formed imprint “Soft Error.”

Auction is live now and runs until Monday the 11th of November at 9pm UK time
