New mural by Sat One. Very nice color palette and an amazing execution as always. Here is what Sat One had to say about his newest mural. “The wall, located in a big parking area, inspired me to interpret parked cars as left shells, like reptiles that frequently shed their skin.
Without entering into a discussion about consumerism in our modern society, it’s clear that the consumption of commodities like cars is intimately tied to the creation and production of a sense of self. Cars are not only a means of transportation, they have also become an integral part of our identity or image, what is left behind reveals our “naked” self. I explored in this way the feeling of being “naked”, of leaving something behind, something that protected our true self from further public scrutiny, the skin or shell, the cars transform the place into a big graveyard of untied identities.”
