We introduce to you the work of Swiss painter Thomas “Pheks” Bestvina. We have followed the work of Thomas for awhile and were really impressed with his most recent set of paintings we share with you above. Working on glass and mix media Thomas paints in an abstract aesthetic moving in and out of gesture and form. This latest series of work seems to move in and out of representation almost as the artist is buffing or erasing his abstract images and marks as he paints. Hope you enjoy.

Born in 1978, Thomas grew up in Basle Switzerland. Around 1990 he had his first contact with Graffiti, which quickly became a passion that accompanied him up to now. Thomas’ works are mixed media paintings on canvas and glass. He currently lives in Zürich where he works on the arthohlstrasse collabo with Lorenz Graf and several solo projects.
