A couple of months back Sowat Lek Poesia and Dem189 descended upon an abandoned location in France and painted an interesting set of mural installations. Placed Insitu the paintings were collaborative works between the 4 artists, but also collaborative works that worked with the environment they were placed in. Interacting with what the landscape dictates they have adapted their style to enhance the already monumental environment. Sowat and Lek are no strangers to forgotten and abandoned environments like this one. Lost in time the artists are able to effectively interact with the past and add another layer of the present with color and paint. What remains is an interesting juxtaposition of the mark of time and that of the artists traveling through it.
