Replete shared this new project he has been working on loosely titled “Anamorphic Animation”. Replete experiments in this installation with cellophane and spray paint, as he juxtaposes the image in numerous angles creating the illusion of movement. In his words “A recent experiment involving a futurist female form painted on several layers of clingfilm spread across 12′ of depth in an abandoned factory in UK. The image forms when viewed at the correct angle.” The second picture and gif is another optical illusion using a small painting on an old desk. “It was painted flat in spray paint on an old table in the UK factory that when viewed at the correct angle gives the impression of vertical height.”. Very nice conceptual paintings from Replete.
