When I think about the term modern master Jaybo’s name fits into that sentence. I was lucky enough to get some preview images of some of the paintings and some studio shots from Jaybo Monk as he prepares for his New York Solo Exhibition at Tache Gallery titled “Entoptics”. I know looking back years from now Jaybo will have his place in history. A true painters painter that establishes a painterly touch with spray enamel and mix media. His ability in this new group of work to create an image unfolding masterful rendering of the figure yet, mixing precise use of geometrics and space impresses. I had been amazed with the scale and execution of the latest paintings before this show.I know that when this new body of work is unveiled those that are lucky enough to see the show will be taken back. I will update later the detailed and full images after the opening. If you have a chance make sure to make this opening you wont be disappointed.
